It was a night filled with fabulous women, wine, food, fashion, hair and makeup, for The Nutrition Professionals of Canada ladies night event!
It’s not always easy to get your closet girlfriends together for an event, especially with little ones at home, husbands, and just our busy lives getting in the way. But on April 19, 2016, we threw the first of many ladies night with industry experts, at Channer’s London . Complete with photography by the talented owner of Shake Media, Andrew john.
This wasn’t your typical ladies night! We provided and featured everything from summer food trends by Kosmos London, to hair and makeup demonstrations by Studio H owner Heather Wenman, and hosted a private pop-up shop with Shop Desis and Rocking Vibe Jewelry .
The fun doesn’t end there! Channer’s London even put together a mini fashion show, showcasing the top Spring/Summer trends, and providing tips on how to wear and pair!
Let’s not forget I was there too! I recently have become part of The Nutrition Professionals of Canada team, taking on the role of public relations, communications, event planning, and image consultant- just to name a few hats I wear! But, I was also there not just planning the event but providing expert tips on anything in my field!
Check out the wonderful photos below that Shake Media generously took for us!
Time for some Fashion!!
The fashion show begins below, with this seasons hottest Spring/Summer trends for business and casual wear!
Details on denim is a big trend this season. You don’t need to be ostentatious about it, but adding some leather, or lace up details in neutral colors are a fun detail to jazz-up your fashion game. Pairing these great pieces with a chunky heel, that has some fun animal print is a great way to introduce fresh pieces into your wardrobe.
Everyone has the traditional blazer in their wardrobe, that’s why Jen channer showed us how to find exquisite leather blazers that work for both business and going out wear.
Heather Wenman teaches us ladies why going green with your hair care is soo important. She shared that many years ago the ammonia in hair products had actually created severe health problems with her digestive system because she was inhaling soo many chemicals. That is why she took the initiative to go green and use Eco friendly products in her new salon.
Jen Channer taught the ladies my favorite fashion trend for this season- wearing runners with dresses, and how to do it properly. She took this beautiful shift dress from classy and sophisticated with a black suede pointed toe heel, to a black running shoe with white sole. It was beautiful and functional.
Above Tara Kennedy, full-time associate at Channer’s London gave the ladies some great tips on how to introduce bold colors in your professional attire. By pairing this beautiful dress with a black classic blazer and black wedge booties that features gorgeous leather detailing, you get a lot of interest in your outfit without overwhelming yourself and others with your outfit!
I’m sure you’ve seen this trend everywhere this summer! That is culottes- the white pants you see above. They can be intimidating to a lot of women, but Channer’s London showed us how to wear them properly with a bold pink shoe and bag, and neutral black blouse.
Maxi dress trend is here to stay! You can even wear this ultra comfy and sophisticated ensemble to work if done right, with a white blazer.
Let’s eat with catering by Kosmos London !
Thanks to everyone who came out to this incredible event, and a special thank you to all those who made this night a possibility!!
